Clients:
Fannie Mae
Fannie Mae provides financial products and services that make it possible for low-, moderate- and middle-income families to buy homes of their own. Since Fannie Mae began in 1968 they have helped more than 30 million families achieve the American dream of homeownership.
Fannie Mae wanted to see how difficult it would be to migrate from a WebObjects based solution to a J2EE solution using BEA's WebLogic product.
This particular application, the Loan Originator allowed loan agents authenticate themselves and then to enter loan origination information online, allowing quicker turnaround time for prospective home buyers.
MassLight's Internet Consulting developed a process to port the application piece by piece to allow for a smooth transition between the old and the new application. Leveraging in-depth knowledge of both WebObjects and WebLogic, MassLight was able to help Fannie Mae understand porting issues for future projects and develop a methodology that could be used by other development teams.
InfoHandler
InfoHandler provides applications to assist teachers and administrators with a variety of complex tasks including the writing of individual education plans for special education students, tracking the progress of students as they move through the school system, tracking the compliance with state benchmarks and creating dozens of reports including Medicaid billing data which is automatically reported on the proper forms and forwarded to the appropriate agencies for timely and correct billing for qualified services.
MassLight Consultants were brought in to complete a web-based version of the application. They were able to reuse much of the existing code base while adding all of the required functionality to meet the customer's changing requirements. This application was deployed to the customer in January, 2001.
Homestore.com, Inc.
Homestore.com, Inc., is the Internet's leading provider for home and real estate information. The comprehensive site includes properties for sale or rent, decorating, moving, financing, remodeling, home technology and shopping. It accomplishes this task by integrating with other popular home-related sites.
The financing portion of the site has allowed thousands of users to get instant preapproval on their mortgage applications. MasslLight Internet Consulting built the system around an existing SQL Server Database and integrated the application with Verisign to provide secure credit card processing.
By integrating with popular sites such as Fannie Mae to provide key functionality, HomeStore.com was able to significantly reduce development time and leverage the work and expertise of industry experts.
