AWS website services

Amazon web services supplies the building blocks that businesses need. AWS offers information technology infrastructure, such as storage, compute power, databases, and management tools. Businesses only pay for what they use, making AWS the most cost-efficient technology. The flexible and on-demand cloud computing services supply fast results so businesses can deploy applications faster. AWS gives businesses control over information, using consumer preferences to help businesses grow. The deployment models listed below are the different types of cloud computing services.

The first model, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) allows the user to have internet-based access to cloud storage.

The second model, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) allows developers to create and host mobile and web applications using internet servers.

The third model, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) allows users to access the same applications for all the devices using cloud storage.

AWS is the largest cloud computing service in the world. The technology powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. Its success can be attributed to the speed, security, flexibility, and low cost of the service.

AWS is divided into EC2, Amazon’s virtual machine service and S3, Amazon’s storage system.

Services include Amazon Cloud Front, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS), Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Simple DB, and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC).

Storage

Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) offers scalable storage for growing businesses. Maximum of 5 Gigabytes of data can be held in the S3 buckets.

Amazon Glacier is used to store cold data for extended periods of time. This is a low-cost method to save money on old data that is rarely touched.

Amazon Elastic Block Store

Amazon Elastic Block Store stores data in the block-level storage that is available even when the Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is shut down.

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is a virtual server for businesses to run their applications on. The servers allow for developers to access the compute capacity on the global AWS data centers.

Database Management

Database management services include the Amazon Relational Database Service. The Amazon Relational Database Service is highly compatible with migration, recovery, and backup collection of data.

Data Migration

Data migration and migration of applications, servers and databases is available on the public AWS cloud. AWS Migration Hub helps users manage the migration of their data to the cloud. AWS Snowball, a data migration service, is used to migrate data to the AWS cloud.

Networking

Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) allows users to use a portion of the AWS cloud. AWS also provides tools to balance network traffic.

Cloud Configuration and Management Tools

AWS Config and its associated rules help navigate cloud resource configuration. AWS Trusted Advisor helps users configure efficiently based on the cost, protection, errors, and high performance.

Security

AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) help manage access over to cloud resources. The service also allows for custom control policies for accounts. AWS promises security to all its data centers.

Amazon Messaging Services

Amazon Messaging Services includes: Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS) for quick messaging, Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS) for push notifications, and Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) for business emails.

AWS Development Tools

AWS development tools include AWS Command Line Interface and Software Development Kits (SDKs) for management purposes. The tools are very compatible and support many platforms and computer languages. AWS tools can also be used for Powershell, AWS Serverless Application Model, Amazon API Gateway, and many more.
